Celebrating Good Shepherd's 50th Anniversary

In the grand tapestry of 50 years, Good Shepherd has woven a profound legacy of compassion, resilience, and transformative impact - a beacon of hope and compassion in the fight against homelessness, addiction, and poverty.

Their dynamic mission involves:

  •          Ending homelessness
  •          Building recovery
  •          Carving pathways out of poverty

Good Shepherd thrives on values of hospitality, compassion, truth, respect, and justice. With a dedicated team, with over half sharing personal experiences, enriching their approach and ensuring excellence in care.

Enveloped in these principles, we face the difficulties of Wolverhampton—ranking among the top 10% for deprivation in England, contending with elevated poverty levels, and confronting staggering inequality. Urgency resonates in the context of soaring youth unemployment rates, emphasising the imperative for immediate action.

How can Good Shepherd help?

Good Shepherd is providing crisis support including food, practical support, and interventions to relieve homelessness, support to prevent people from becoming homeless and interventions and activities that support recovery from homelessness, mental health, and addiction.

With goals to:

  • Be a provider of quality care and support driven by our values

  • Be a trusted and responsible employer

  • Be an innovative and dynamic charity

  • Remain a strong and financially viable charity
